“Ocean wave” in PWTC!!

In conjunction with PWTC International Dive Expo 2009, the Ocean team of S.O.S Earth(F.L.O.R.A.) grabbed the opportunity to seek for information, exhibition items, and approach NGOs on the 3rd of July. Without a doubt, it’s their chance to “have some fun” during this “formal visitation”.

~ Say cheese @ the entrance of the expo!can't wait to see what the expo is all about!

After registering and obtaining the visitors pass at ground floor, they checked in and were amazed by the amount of booths that participated in the expo. Most of the participants are companies which sell diving items as various types of diving apparatus were exhibited and to be sold.

~ canons?

~ A kind of diving apparatus?

~ fossil as decorative items for the exhibition.

~ flying machine?!

Apart from that, resorts companies, book stores and several related industries booths were set. The expo also attracted participant from Indonesia too.

ALSO! There were also non-governmental organizations such as WWF. Great! (Finally! there’s non-profit organization here. ;p)

The Ocean team members approach the person in charged for further inquiries, and to invite them to out event, SOS Earth.

~ One of the participating booths

~ Showcase of underwater photography competition won entries

Not to forget, the participation of Malaysia Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism. With their significant logo and symbol, the expo was made more magnificent!

There were lots of photos, exhibition items displayed on the expo. Performances were also showed during the expo on a splendidly set stage.

~ nice stage huh?

Overall, this expo is targeted on the tourists or to be said foreigners who visit Malaysia and also local citizens as the exhibition and packages provided by the organizer were mainly for those who love and would love to try water sports in our country.

Let us meet the Earth Rangers!!

Let us meet the organisers and the creative agency!

S.O.S Earth brings a very special meaning to all of us as we are eager to do something meaningful to the environment, even at the beginning level. Now, we have the chance to protect the Earth, not to mention, it’s a big scale event whereby 106 students from
Advanced Diploma in Public Relations (Organiser) and 45 students from Advanced Diploma in Advertising (Creative Agency hired by the organiser) will work together as a big organisation, or closer to our heart, as a big GREEN family, to create a sense of urgency and also awareness to conserve the environment.

Of course, without organisers an event would not function as smoothly as they can be. So let us bring you an in-sight of our organising committee. Our committee consist of 7 main departments which are:

1. Programming (Activities) Department

2. Programming (Exhibition) Department

3. Stage Programming Department

4. Set Up (Stage), Maintenance and Security Department

A big ‘C’ for Chimpanzees? Just kidding...‘C’ for Creative Thinking!

"As our event will be focusing on the five (5) main elements which are Forest, Land and Natural Resources, Ocean, River and Air, both Programming (Activities) and Programming (Exhibition) are divided into five subgroup.

Hence, Programming (Activities) and Programming (Exhibition) have Forest Team, Land and Natural Resources Team, Ocean Team, River Team and Air Team."
